Vancouver Grizzlies, Where are they now

Vancouver, BC (if you don't know where it is it is north of Seattle in Canada)  use to have an NBA team it was a new franchise and the team was named the Vancouver Grizzlies.  The team was introduced to Vancouver back in 1995.  they weren't very good, but at least Vancouver at a team to call it's own.  Their starting five was

Shareef Abdur-Rahim
Mike Bibby
Bryant Reeves
Stromile Swift
Michael Dickerson

Mike Bibby                         Mike Bibby was Vancouver's Point Guard.  He is  6'2' and was born in New Jersey.  The Grizzlies drafted him back in 1998 in the 1st round.  He also played for the Kings, The Hawks and The Wizards.  Nowadays you Can find my man Bibby playing alongside the BIG 3 in Miami.   Bibby and is wife, Marcy now have 4 kids. He averages about 9 ppg, 3 apg and 2 rpg, Not a huge contributor  but he is still in the league.  He is still one of the deadliest 3 point shooters in the NBA.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim                 Shareef played the at the 3 and was very good at it.  He was arguably the grizzlies' best player.  As you can see he was on the cover of SLAM.  People were mad about this because Shareef got the cover and Kobe got his name on the cover.  He averaged 19 ppg, not bad for a rookie.   After playing for Vancity he played for the hawks, Washington and ended up in Sacramento with the kings.  After retiring in 2008 he joined the Sacramento coaching staff.

Bryant (Big country) Reeves            He was nicknamed Big Country by his college teammate Byron Houston after Reeves was amazed following his first airplane flight across the United States having grown up in the small community of Gans, Oklahoma.  Big Country was a big dude.  He stood 7 feet tall weighing 300 pounds!  Now an interesting fact with Reeves is that when he was in the league he was making 10 million and the greatest player to ever play the game, Michael Jordan, was only making 6.  Due to paying Reeves so much Vancouver didn't have as much money to get other great players. After 1998, weight-control problems and injuries began to take a toll on Reeves, and his numbers fell off dramatically. He was still starting at center for the Grizzlies, but his minutes per game dropped, and his field goal percentage dropped significantly.  Bryant is now in theInternational Federation of Competitive Eating.

Michael Dikerson            Mike Dick played at the 2.  He won the national Championship at University of Arizona alongside Jason Terry and Mike Bibby.  He is also the cousin of Former NBA guard David Wesley.  He was selected as the 14th overall pick by the Rockets in the 1998 NBA Draft and played one full (lockout-shortened) season for them before being relunctantly traded in 1999 to the Grizzlies for Vancouver's draft pick, Steve Francis, after Francis demanded a trade because he did not want to play for a Canadien team.  He averaged 18 ppg and was on the rookie 2nd team.

Stromile Swift             Double S was runnin' the 4.  He was nearly 7 feet, could pull off some mind-blowing dunks, and he had one of the coolest names in basketball.  He went to LSU then entered the draft at the tender age of 19.  Stromile was not the best player in the league, but man was he ever fun to watch.  Throwing down windmills in games, 2 handed tomahawks, you name the dunk and he could do it.  He now plays in China for the Shandog Lions.
